Ice-O-Mat
Professional bartenders, and some very skilled home bartenders, will tell you that the ONLY way to serve a proper drink is in a chilled glass. They’ll also tell you that the best way to achieve this is to fill your glass with crushed ice before mixing. Then pour out the melted ice before pouring the drink.
When I was a very young I would play bartender in my Grandfather’s wet bar in the games room. He had an ice crusher that you had to use by hand. A sort of press that required more strength than I could usually muster. For the Ice-O-Mat all you need to do is press a button and crushed ice slides right into your glass or cocktail shaker.
